Agricultural mechanization and equipment

　　The Nanjing Research Institute for Agricultural Mechanization , CAAS is well recognized in China for its expertise and strong capacity in the designing and development of new machinery and equipment for agricultural use. The institute , located on the suburbs of thr historical city of Nanjing , Jiangsu Province ,has over 300 employees working on machinery and equipment for crop planting , plowing , harvesting , pest control , production , poultry and animal production and small scale hydroelectric power system.

Rice-wheat harvesting machine

　　Sine 1959, many kinds of harvesting machinery have been developed in the Nanjing Research Institute for Agricultural Mechanization . The institute for Agricultural Mechanization . The institute is conducting research for a new stripping combine . The stripping header and cutting device are used instead of the traditional header and cutting decice are used instead of the traditional header on the new stripping that is fitted on a complete machine with wheeled tractor. While the machine is at work , only the grain and some ears or short-stems are stripped off , while stems are cut by cutting device and laid down in a good order.
