The Graduate School of CAAS was established in 1979 with a capacity of accomdating 350 graduate students , aims at the development of highly qualified research scientists for agricultural research programs .At present ,12 major research fields offer Msc degree . 1068 graduates have finished their degrees and become research scientists in their repective disciplines . The graduate school is one of the important venues for competitive human resource development on China's agricultural system .

6-8 international training course are held annually with sponsorship of CAAS and international organizations .
